This song really hits deep perhaps because of where I am in life now and so much death was surrounding me when this came out late last year. Posdnous' verses and the hook are so heartfelt. On many occasions while listening to this, I definitely shed many tears of joy, pain and sorrow.

but the last few weeks it's come into rotation heavily again
I like it even more now than I did at the start. There are a few cuts I'd drop, but the highs are so high I don't care. Feels nearly perfect.
This track IS perfect. I'd love to hear them talk about how they put it together. It feels like the sort of thing they could have labored over for ages, but it also feels very quick and release-the-floodgates.

Which ? I wouldn't drop a thing. There are a couple of "lesser" songs but similar to Miles by Blu & Exile, it's one of those records that feels "long" but when I do the exercise of trying to find songs that I'd have left on the cutting room floor, I can't decide on any.

i didnt get it (and i usually have a good ear for that stuff) until he cued back to the "slipped awaaaaay" the 2nd time (z-trip plays the song from the beginning, and im thinking "is it the drums when they come in? a tone from that guitar riff right before the chorus powerchords?")...then it was weebaying/goosebumps. i hope boston's grandkids have played it for them
the first part of "i like it" (at 0:20) also sounds like used in the track "large professor"? (main source 'breaking atoms' -- i didnt look it up, but sounds like it?)

Was chopping it up with him at the Listening Room and just had to express how impressive that beat is. And the song itself just hit me so hard cuz my pops died the month before De La's album dropped last year. My favorite track off the album. He said he had Dave completely in mind all through the creation process and when he let Pos hear it, he was like "THIS IS IT!"
