Last year's Acts Of Faith was my favorite album from Inflo and company in a long time. This, if you can believe it, surpasses that!
thebigfunk, you mentioned in the 'Faith' post that that was their bass album. But THIS joint...this is their bass album. Pino Palladino played bass on this (according to the Apple Music description). They also have features from Chronixx and this new pianist NIJE (who I can't find any info on). This is the grooviest Sault has been since...maybe 5? Or Untitled (Black)?
Vinyl already copped (even though I really can't afford it).

yeah, it's really good!
i saw that it had been posted then taken down on Friday. Was glad to hear it was back up and just got to listening this morning.
I think Pino's on three tracks. I think he's maybe most noticeable (to me) on "L.U." --- that feels very Pino to me. ILTS/LU is the one-two punch for me, so far.
(Although I'm listening to R.L. again right now, and that definitely has some of that Pino vibe, too ... although I think I am used to hearing him deeper in the mix)
It's a little weird to get this around the same time as news of that lawsuit from Little Simz against Inflo broke. :/
But yeah, this an Acts of Faith sort of restored my interest in Sault et al. Even Cleo's post-Mother albums felt kind of mid to me --- perfectly fine but none of the punch of Mother or even Rose in the Dark material. I've only gone back to them a handful of times.
TLDR: it's nice to have a few recent albums from them that I just want to play and play.
