Will probably check tomorrow.
But folks should also check Blu's new one with Shafiq Husayn. Only listened to the first half but super dope! Only complaint is Husayn's beats have a maximalism at times that is both exhilarating and exhausting? So half way through I needed a short break, lol. But Blu's been really prolific lately and this stands out from the rest to me.
edit: put this here mainly bc they were both released yesterday

I was skeptical with all the guests, but it works so far.
I've done a 180 on my Blu tastes over the years. I much prefer him over lofi or weird/left field stuff than the over-produced shit Exile does these days.
Give me more shit like Her Favorite Color, No York, and Good 2 be Home.

I like Roc Marci but am usually bored by his full lengths due to how cerebral they can be with drumless beats and his off kilter flow. This album was the first that had me captivated the whole way through.

I couldn't seem to pinpoint what it was I didn't like about his music in the macro, but similar to you, I like the dude and think he's mega talented. His albums just never grab me. And I think the above is probably why.
What I said to my friend is that I always check out his work, but it never sticks with me.
