... I think it's a situation where he'd definitely heard it before; but maybe someone played it while he was sleeping, maybe it was background music at a restaurant, or a bar, or a store, or somewhere ... and it stuck to his subconscious. That'd be *too* fucking eerie if not.
I mean it's definitely possible. I just wouldn't say it's probable that he hadn't ever heard the Simon track before, even if he didn't consciously necessarily realize it in the moment.

Like the first time I ever heard that song the chorus immediately sounded familiar. (Me & Yooooou) And I have been wracking my brain to figure out what TV or old song the melody comes from.
