One of the things about this that seems pretty "on-point" is that so many artists (especially Rock bands) just seem to make music that only really hits for a track or 2 for each album (as I said about Albums in general going back to the 1980's in a Lesson post a few years ago)

So...(after having a iPod that had lot's of full albums on it but I barely started making playlists from all of that music - or really regularly listened to most of that music on that iPod - before the iPod broke)...I bought a mP3 player that was less expensive than an iPod but it has space for a good amount of music...ESPECIALLY if a music lover limits what is put on this particular brand of MP3 player to music that just goes above and beyond in sound quality and ability to impress.

So...the music on this MP3 player is very limited to sound quality impressiveness and musical impressiveness.

So...I'm going to chronicle little by little the additions to the MP3 player (rather than a extensive exposition of the entire thing)..

Just a little by little chronicle that celebrates how a track here and a track here on various Folders (playlists) can seem to create a thorough "asset"


I know people have playlists connected to Apple music and Spotify that they can access on their phones and save on the Cloud but....like Quest curating iPods for his friends...an MP3 player or iPod curated a certain way seems more "tangible" to a Gen-X person like me.

then...my mind went to the "Midnight Cowboy" sountrack. the Ferrante and Teicher version of the "Midnight Cowboy" theme seemed iconic but...I finally realized sound quality-wise that the John Barry original version with Toots Thielemans on harmonica was superior.

This was a close call but...I really don't know how I didn't easily recognize that the John Barry original with Toots Thielemans is the ultimate

Been hemmin' and hawin' about doin' a 2010's folder (playlist). To be clear, the only "mature" R&B radio I was listening to was a brief window in 2018 when I was travelling to Augusta, GA often. I guess I would have had more 2010's R&B favs if there was a station of "mature" R&B (not the hip-hop type) in my area for the 11 years I been in Georgia (I feel robbed!!!). I guess I'll have to lean on Instagram for any guidance here and there on 2010's "mature" R&B. I saw Kelela on some youtube streamed festival I think in 2016 and I liked the sound. Pandora Beach House radio station finally got around to introducing an artist called Sandstorm. But...........on Amazon...I found out that "Sandstorm" is an artist that Pandora "blanket" attributed all the tracks of a multi-artist compilation to. In actuality, Sandstorm was just 1 of the artists on the compilation and that caused me to search amazon for other compilations that the actual artists (L'Artist) I liked were on. Found some more tracks - like I said, it's all "here a track, there a track" - practically nobody (besides Crumb the band) can really do for more than a couple of tracks, really. People just don't got it - they fall off too quick.

...eh, today was weird...Lot's of somewhat good tracks from the Air (French Band) Pandora station, but.....I'm feeling some of this is kinda early 2000's, so....eh...will this be limited to that era? (like the Beach House Pandora station era of this seemed very rock oriented?)
