Just throwing out some good news. Lewis Taylor dropped his new album, Numb, a bit early.

I think you may have needed to preorder it to hear it all, but it should be on all platforms July 15th.

It's good stuff. Lewis definitely is more subdued than on previous records, but the introspection is befitting of a 56 year old man. lol

Pretty dark record, tbh, or at least very focused on mortality, isolation, etc.

I'll need to spend a lot more time with it but it opened up to me as the record went on. First cut was definitely my least favorite of the bunch. It might have been when/where I was listening but I felt like the mix was off, making it feel thinner and a little more DIY than I expected. At the same time, just about every cut has some of *those* touches that make an LT record exciting and worth revisiting time and time again.

Probably listen again today (another long drive) and focus in on individual songs a bit more, but I remember really liking "Please"
