I'm an mp3 guy, but buying a new M1 Mac Mini kinda forced my hand,
and now some of the applications I used to get music on my Pixel 2XL
no longer function properly (i tried Dr. Claw).

I'm on Apple Music because iTunes is my music manager.
I need help understanding the music match/sync thing.

I thought Apple Music ONLY synced music that it could match.
Kinda like, "Oh, we have Stevie Wonder's Innervisions LP. Just use our version."

But I have some bootleg P stuff in my library, and those albums synced too.
Just recently I bought this Kings album (DJ Harrison funk project) off Bandcamp
and the small cloud icon is dotted, and won't sync(?).


Just a heads up: I'm not getting an iPhone. But I can't imagine
Apple Music running on an iPhone any differently, right?
