"Q-tip/LL Verzuz"

Q-tip is the only artist I know who could rival L.L.'s expansive career. Both artists got battle shit and songs the ladies love. Even though they peaked at different times of their careers; both are from Queens, New York. I know LL was never part of a group or a producer, but artist wise, LL could give it a go with Q-tip.
LL is a legend and he has to do a Verzuz. The only problem is trying to find an artist from his era that could rival a career as his.

I understand what you're saying but still I don't see the connection between the two artists musically; trying to see who rivals Q-Tip is a hard one, the same goes for LL, the two have created their own lanes for mad years.

Snoop would be a good one for him, his one with X though was classic and now legendary for obvious reasons.

Luda has quite a few cameo records to pull out his bag, as does Busta.

But if it’s live performance, Luda is gonna lose (unless they’re in Atlanta, maybe LOL)

Not that they’re similar style or content wise, but they’re regarded on a similar level historically as rappers, and they both have numerous hits, over a long period.

Tip would have to go against someone that’s also a producer/rapper that was in a group. He didn’t produce as much, but maybe Face?

I've never cared about the "competition" aspect,
I just want to see two artists from the same era.
I think LL and Cube match up SO much better.

Plus, I'd rather see Q-Tip go against another hip hop group.
Tribe/De La makes too much sense.
Or Tribe/'Kast (which probably won't happen).

Like Tribe - De La......it would be dope.

But if they did something like Face vs. Tip....two legendary acts that came up around the same time, but made music in far different lanes. But they’re both dope. That would just be more interesting to me to watch.

I think subconsciously it was coming across this Face interview talking about Tribe’s first album years ago that made me think of that matchup.

How big are we allowing the advertising budget to be for this one???

We will need at least 3 years of promotion for Humanreck leading up to it. Also I want to see a massive guest list of cameo appearances that Humanreck will be bringing with him.

Peace

with as rich of a catalogue of hits. That's why I think the only person that could come close would be...

Missy. Period. She couldn't out rap him but her hits line up side by side with his and she'd put on a good show (albeit, different from how he would...dancers, etc)

And here's the kicker...she'd have a STRONG chance of winning.

Plus it'd be the first male vs female one they'd have so would be a lot of hype around it.

Busta Rhymes vs Missy

I think it's the only one that makes sense. Luda could work for the type of energy he brings but he'd have to drastically upgrade his performance and busta's catalogue would kill him. Luda might make it close for 10-12 songs but unless it was in Atlanta...He couldn't do it.

Seemed like he was on so many other peoples hits.

From stuff like Made You Look Remix to “Oh” with Ciara. He was everywhere for a few years.

and I think the audience would make a big difference too.

Something like Scenario would destroy Luda in NY/Philly. Welcome to Atlanta would obvi kill Busta in ATL.

They'd have to do like Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis or Vegas or something to avoid major location bias. Matter of fact...Vegas would be perfect.

Did you forget Luda already destroyed Nelly?

Diamond selling Nelly.

Luda is a DJ and he was one of the first verzuz to show how playlist could pick apart the opponent.

If you asked who'd win that verzuz, I would have said Luda hands down.

Busta got so much in the tank as far as hits and high energy songs, no matter how Luda curate, Buss got a track for track match.

THEN luda has to out perform him...game over because that ain't happening.

43. "Jay-Z vs. Busta Rhymes"
In response to Reply # 0

Both have hits and collabos for days. Jay's long lists of hits is the only thing that can stand up to and withstand Busta's energy. And Busta's energy is the only thing that can stand up to Jay's infinite number of hits.

Also, Scarface vs. Ice Cube.

I'm bitin' 'cause I heard these lists from another source but don't really care. These are better match ups that I would love to see go down.
