I listened to from front to back the MOST. Also most skipped doesn’t mean “bad song on a good album” - in many cases the most skipped would be the most well known song on the album just because I’m tired of hearing it. So there won’t be many that agree with mine, but here goes…
Thriller on Thriller (MJ): Again not that it’s a bad song at ALL, but that song is all about the video to me. And I saw that video so many times that when I would listen to the album it was an easy skip.
Forth and Back on Fantastic Vol 2 (SV): It’s a dope song, but compared to the rest of the album it’s an easy skip, especially considering that a few of my favorite songs on the album are right after it.
H to the Izzo on Blueprint (Jay-Z): This is one that I actually don’t skip now when I listen to Blueprint. But back when the album was out and I was listening to it back to back? QUICK skip. Again because it was the single and I was tired of it.
Another on Life After Death (Biggie): I’m one who actually LOVES the “filler” tracks on this album. I actually prefer it over Ready to Die which sounds like sacrilege. But I wore the MESS out of Life After Death, and Another with Lil Kim was the only track I’d skip.

I was kind of disappointed that the one posse cut on the album happen to be the one song I didn't care for at all, the beat is so lame, that sample happened to be first used by Masters Of Ceremony (Grand Puba's first group) for the song "Master Move".
Anyway I never knew people didn't like "Give Me", yeah the song was kind of a throw-a-way album cut but I could tell some of the other songs were as well by the mood or vibe they wasn't putting their full effort into it and just recording a ton of demos and it got chosen for the album, but it has a cool beat to it so I never skip it.

Sub SUB question: Does that result in some people rating albums as classics because they've essentially cut their own version of the album?
Know that I'm coming from the age of the cassette, and my ol' man used to tell me "If you want your battery to last longer, don't do a lot of fast forwarding and rewinding." I kiiiinda took that to heart.

At least the albums that I’m interested in. You don’t see those albums that are just all over the place now, with the songs obviously chasing radio and TV(remember when that was a thing?) play. Also, the albums just seem to be shorter now. If this was 15-20 years ago and I was dealing with a 90 minute album, and I’ve gotta deal with some Swizz Beats tracks and the obligatory guy from Coldplay hook.....yeah, I’m skipping some of that. Shorter albums with a more consistent sound and purpose....I’ll play it through.
Or maybe it’s just my listening habits have zeroed in on the artists making those consistent type of albums?

was an investment. So when I’d buy one I would listen to it front to back multiple times, again and again. Often there would be album cuts on it that I didn’t like at first, but grew on me. In 2021 that’s not happening though, because that song it getting skipped and forgotten about…
ive long been making my own version of albums. only syncing the songs i like and listening to those when i want to listen to an album. now on streaming only listening to the thumbed up ones. i will make it a point to come back to the full album for ones i liked but anything up to like 2017ish is kind of going off the songs i like without taking into account the skips.
i think even back in CD and cassette days i would make my own tapes with just my favorite songs from albums. the years between not using cassettes and not having an mp3 player/cd burner is probably when i listened to albums in full the most.
being able to download songs and sync them to an mp3 player made it too easy to not go back to albums in full. there are quite a bit of dope songs that i dont have official versions of too lol no intro or outro/skit. when i stream some older albums now im surprised when some of these come on.

That's one song I've never cared for other than the funny part of the drunk character Frank B., the fact they made it a video for it was shocking cause the album "Unfinished Business" had way better songs they could've made a single & video for.

Your point about the long skit before the song starts s a good one though. It annoys me when they don't add a separate track and the skit is long. Another example is Kick in the Door by Biggie - GREAT song, and the Mad Rapper skit before it is dope, but when I want to hear the song I want to hear the song. I added it to a workout playlist and had to take it off with that 2 minute skit killing the vibe lol...

So, I was 9 when the album dropped. My uncle bought the album and made a copy of it for me on cassette because he knew I was a fan, but he told me he didn't put Darling Nikki on the tape because my parents wouldn't approve. He was right. For years after I bought the CD on my own I just skipped it. I let the CD go one day and listened and understood exactly why that was missing from my 9 year old copy on my Maxell chrome bias tape. Thanks unc!

I would also say "Eric B Is On The Cut" but that one is sort of listenable but cause it's near the beginning of the album, but time you get near the end no one wants to hear Eric B. scratching again for four minutes, I like the beat to "Chinese Arithmetic" but it sounds like Eric B. was practicing scratching on that shit.
"Eric B. Is On The Cut", "Chinese Arithmetic", & "Extended The Beat" is the reason I will never call "Paid In Full" a classic album.
