I love some songs but TTT overall reminded me of the time when there was only one "urban" station in Atlanta and they wouldn't play any hip-hop/rap on Sundays. TTT is Sunday afternoon sleep music.

....performance of an early song "Baby Doll" and....I saw the young-ish musicians backing them up(?) and ... I ... thought....uh...

....they don't seem like some hired hands just playing a TV performance....they seem like...they are their (TTT) peers.

then I clicked on this doc and .... yep they was a whole band...not just 3 guys.

The interview Raphael Saadiq did on the Breakfast Club two years ago basically fills in the gap where maybe Raphael would've spoken up about if he was in that documentary; it's still boggles my mind about his brother Dwayne and how he just seems so straight up gangster but your homie or family big brother to the rest of the group.

I kind of assumed Saadiq is hard to work with given he had two bands that busted up. Also I remember seeing him perform New York and he called Shaheed Ali on stange and Shaheed straight through shade at him. Saadiq was like, "there is my brother, I miss you man". Shaheed was like, "you have my number. Just call".


Edit: Yeah I would want to hear the other side of this. You would have a hard time convincing me that Tony Toni Tone is a six man group.
