the sincerity shines through in the music. This album is cohesive as hell - can play it through like one long track.
Nottz is just on another level in how he gets his beats to sound IMO. They always have that thump and knock on another level from everyone else’s. He’s the best since Dre in that regard, to me.

i need to go back to it. halfway through i was loving it. had to take a break then saw the news about gab. when i came back to it i could tell i wasnt really paying attention. it sounded just as good the rest of the way but i need to give it a proper listen.

that subtle beat switch on the second verse where it’s the same beat but....different. Love it. Lyrics and content hit hard here, dealing with his wife’s death. Heavy song.

But I said something about how he explained the “unlearning” concept as him trying to “unlearn” all he knew and what he was doing before and treat this like a starting over type album. He wanted it to sound raw and almost demo like.
When I really love a new album, I have a hard time comparing it to an artists past work until more time has passed. I like/love all his solos, but for the present time I’m heavy into this album. Probably my favorite of the year so far.
