2. "Does the hip-hop audience even check for Eminem?" In response to Reply # 0
I have zero idea about who his music appeals to anymore, except maybe the die-hards who stuck with him post-Encore.
Beastie Boys might be another choice, considering all the non-hip-hop fans who starting checking for them when they put out "Check Your Head" and later "Sabotage" specifically.

6. "ICP if we're talking a traditional hip hop audience" In response to Reply # 0
Eminem brought in a huge audience of people who probably wouldn't have been interested in rap, but he still had his time in the backpacker scene doing shit with Rawkus/Eastern Conference, and he was affiliated with Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Snoop Etc..
ICP's fans mainly listened to rap on their label or other "weirdo"/Alt rap. It's only recently that ICP started showing up for interviews on traditional hip hop networks like Hot 97/sway in the morning/etc, and their music still doesn't get played on those stations.
As for ICP themselves, they do come across as hardcore fans of the hip hop that was popping in the 80s/early 90s. they've done songs with people like Ol Dirty bastard, Ice-T, 3-6 Mafia, and their Gathering of the Juggalos has had a bunch of certified legends on the bill
