"Omar Rodriguez-Lopez The Cloud Hills Tapes pt.III"
What the hell is this? If you listen closely you can hear Cedric Bixler-Zavala running at top speed away from dude.
All anticipation for a TMV reunion is kind of over for me at this point. I’d rather not hear DeAntoni Parks playing drums with one arm intentionally anyways. If they’re going to go for that paycheck, I’d rather hear Jon Theodore or Thomas Pridgen or even Zach Hill on drums, AS WELL AS A HEALTHY DOSE OF JOHN FRUSCIANTE. Bring back the percussion. No more Eddie Van Halen/Trance keyboards though.
Ugh...

It’s been a few years since I’ve checked for dude. Wasn’t feeling Bosnian Rainbows, didn’t have much patience for the At The Drive-In reunion, or much of the solo stuff after the Stones Throw album...and he’s released a ton of them. But nothing memorable, in my opinion.
Then my streaming service suggested this. So, why not, right?
Sheesh...it’s like one of those Tricky albums with the “no-name” Martina Topley-Bird female vocals. He’s got Leo Genovese (formerly of Esperanza Spaulding first couple of albums). Nope I read a really decent article on dude a few months back...but, it sucks when people give better interviews than the art that they make..
