Surprised that there hasn't been a post about this album.
One of my favorites of the year.

1. Spotlight
2. What’s Your Pleasure
3. Ooh La La
4. Soul Control
5. Save A Kiss
6. Adore
7. In Your Eyes
8. Step Into My Life
9. Read My Lips
10. Mirage (Don’t Stop)
11. The Kill
12. Remember Where You Aree

Are other folks digging this album as much as I am?

I love the 70s/80s vibe. it's a nice change of pace for her.

Soul Control might be my fav, but honestly most of the album is a jam. There are only two or so songs in the middle that slow it up, but it picks up almost immediately after.

Those are my jams. I agree there's a couple in there that slow the momentum, but I don't even dislike those songs.

I kind of stan her so always a bit biased but I think it's immaculate. She'd released three or four of the tracks as singles pre-release and I was worried I'd have played them out. Despite playing them into the ground, the record still felt fresh to me and is one of my favorites of the year so far, probably in my top 10.

Mirage is my absolute jam. (with assistance from Matthew Tavares which sort of makes sense right now because it seems like he's been popping up on everything I like lately, including Lianne La Havas's "Sour Fruit," not to mention his own top-tier releases).

Spotlight is an amazing opener and its video is absolutely gorgeous:

A few small missteps -- the main one that comes to mind is that the closer ("Remember Where You Are") is cool but feels out of place. One or two of the mid-section tracks stumble a bit.

But on the whole the album just has a great energy to it - a full nod to dance-pop and disco without feeling kitschy or derivative.

She never fell off (I loved her last album Glass House HARD) but this is a nice, somewhat unexpected change-up. She'd almost quit the business, too -- hopefully the acclaim she's receiving keeps her going for a while.

Random late edit: I could have sworn Tavares was credited in some way for La Havas's "Sour Fruit" -- but I just looked on the wiki credits and don't see his name. So I mixed something up.

He's definitely credited on Mirage though.
