There is that Tom Misch/Yussef dayes album, complete with Gibbs rhyming on a cut. Listened to a few tracks, not enough to say much other than the drums are ridiculous...

Still absorbing both...each are excellent.

I know the Zeroh won't be for everyone, but I think he finally strikes the right balance between spitting and his...more eclectic side. Dude makes it look easy...

EP - listening now and this is really really good and Skyzoo is switching up his flow a bit here, too, in a good way (at least see "Reasons"). Live jazz band behind him is really tight - This is same tier as retropolitan so far, dude can't lose

i really want a full album of this.

I've already listened numerous times and I think it will stay in steady rotation for a while. I've still got Retropolitan downloaded to my phone, too - this is an awesome complement to that record.

Not sure how many Rufus Wainwright fans are still lurking about - but he had been set to release a new album on the 24th - couldn't figure out why I couldn't find it. It's been postponed until July (due to covid).

Three of the tracks that had been released via singles (Trouble in Paradise; Damsel in Distress; Peaceful Afternoon) were coupled with a new track, "Alone Time," onto an EP (with pretty good cover art!). If you're a stan, make sure you look for the Peaceful Afternoon single which has a b-side, Piece a vivre, which is quite wonderful as well.

Super bummed - the singles have been quite good with a lot of acoustic guitar, it's been a long time since his last studio lp, he's referenced Joni Mitchell and Laurel Canyon in a number of interviews, and he's rocking a beard - it's absolutely what I need for my quarantine life right now, lol.
