I think Teddy might have the edge due to his involvement with Hip Hop. The guy ranges from the Winans to Snoop's Ego Trippin album.

But Babyface's pen game is gonna be hard to contend with. From Bobby Brown's Don't Be Cruel to Waiting To Exhale. I haven't watched any of these, but I might catch this one.

Because a lot of Face's hits are slow jams while Teddy has a lot of up-tempo hits.

Wonder if they'll be forced to go like for like.

You can't exactly counter "Just Got Paid" with "End of The Road" despite them both being undeniable classics

Maybe cause I like Teddy more, I don't know.
I always thought Babyface (LaFace) was just OK.
Plus, high school me was kinda mad LaFace helped Boyz II Men
go in a new cleaner "safe" direction on their sophomore album II.

Anyway, I think Teddy's uptempo joints (plus his slow jam joints that I listed above)
will make this a no contest.

If I'm judging by songwriting, then Face.

But I have a feeling people will be judging based on JAMS and danceability.. so in that case, TR.

I'm going with Teddy. Personally it's impossible for me to pick who I like better, they were both such a part of my musical life.

I do agree with you on this one:
>If I'm judging by songwriting, then Face.

I don't disagree with the next statemtn, but I think that there's gonna be a lot of older heads in here who appreciate the fuck out of a slow jam.

>But I have a feeling people will be judging based on JAMS and
danceability.. so in that case, TR.

That said to muddle the lines even more. I just don't know how 'Face counters some of Teddy Jams (no pun intended).

Like, RumpShaker comes on right? How does face follow it?
"The Lover in You" with LL? "Rocksteady", "Sittin Up in My Room"??!

Even tougher...what happens when "The Show" drops...now what?!

Does 'Face go completely left and hit em with "Two Occasions?" "Not'Gon Cry?"

There's also a question of what they can play? Only "PRODUCED BY" or can it also include "WRITTEN BY" credits?

Or what if they picks 10 years, and they had to each drop two joints from that year? Or 8 years from the 90's and its open to pick 2 songs ea from them in the 80's?

There's a million ways to do it, everyone including the artists are gonna win just like Preemo. They're both fairly humble (I see you Teddy) and I think will have fun with it but its is going to be amazing.

JothaI, this is your Nostradamus moment, fam. "The Show" was Teddy's opening salvo. And Face indeed followed up with "Two Occasions." Take a bow, lol.
