im not a big fan of theirs. loved the track on de la souls album then checked out their albums. didnt really enjoy any of them. this album is great to me. the production is awesome. the singing is a bit hit or miss for me but mostly hit.

This is their best album since Ritual Union. Close rival to their best one, Machine Dreams. I needed this.

I personally don't think the band took a step backwards until Seasons High and even that wasn't awful.
Anyway, this is probably my least favorite effort of theirs so far. It is not bad per se but only about 4-5 tracks are actually interesting. I'm surprised by how relatively "conventional" much of it sounds. I'm so used to LD never sounding like anyone else ...

It's my favorite album of theirs by far. I really liked the first album, and hit or miss on most everything else. An odd comparison that keeps popping in my head is the classic era of Janet. This album really could serve as a template for a Jam Lewis Janet album in 2020. Especially with songs like:
