I always have to be in the right mood for King Krule - not sure I'm there right now since it sounds like it's on the darker end... might have to save this one for later.

On first listen, not really feeling this one as much as anything on Lyrics to Go or Foto -- verses are underwhelming and the beat is pretty lackluster...
2 of my favorites dropped songs even though their completely different in Purity Ring & Jadakiss!
As for Jada, this might finally be the album where he doesn't make songs for everyone....as all 3 songs he's dropped have been tough and not necessarily for radio or fitting today's trends.
Grimes album is nuts, I passed on listening to the singles except for one....so it's pretty much all new for me. Gonna sound better at nighttime, kinda hope someone dope flips and raps over the music.
Every couple of years we get an instrumental version of a mainstream album for seemingly no good reason. This time it's Anderson Paak's Ventura.

>Moses Sumney - Grae Pt. I
I've only been able to listen through once but my first impressions were really really positive - Cut Me and Polly (both had been on the ep released a few weeks prior) are brilliant, and the latter as an ending track is really smart. Looking forward to pt. II. Want to look closer at his liners for both this and his first record - his arrangements are on another level.
>Grimes - Miss Anthropocene
Have only listened to this once as well but was less impressed. I had high hopes based on the singles but... *shrug* I've never been a huge Grimes stan or anything but am always at least intrigued by what she's doing. This didn't seem to go anywhere and at times felt stale.

The first rnb joint being the Lianne song that has it's own post called Bittersweet.
Debuting a song on COLORS is a great move, I wonder if someone could debut a song or even a whole project on a Tiny Desk one day? That'd be dope.
The second being Jhene Aiko Featuring Future & Miguel called H.O.E. I only like ratchet rnb songs from a couple people and Jhene is one for sure....hopefully the album has some balance to it tho.
Smoke's new project called "A Closed Mouth Don't Get Fed" is dope but will prolly be slept on like most DZA projects. Dude did an EP with Benny produced by Pete Rock and I didn't see a word about it....wonder why his music doesn't stick to people?
