Obviously there is a band that tours but I was under the impression he had always been the one writing, arranging, producing and playing all the instruments on the records themselves.

As far as the album, I'm really enjoying it. If you didn't like the direction he took with Currents you may as well skip this one, but if you liked the last album you'll prob enjoy this one as well. "Lost in Yesterday" is prob my favorite cut and though it's close to a year old at this point I wish he had found a place for "Patience" on here.

You're right. I never knew how much he actually did until lately.

apart from the amount of time it took him to release this .... Currents came out 5 years ago.... but

This album, like his others, has layers upon layers of sonic texture and is another Home Run.

I have definitely become a Tame Impala Stan over the years.

werd.

Breathe Deeper sounds like a H&O outtake from the late 70's

didn't immediately love the record, but after having it on nonstop this week i think i love it

Easily my least favorite TI record. Kevin peaked with Lonerism

Gotta wait for the summer. It's hard to judge right now because having worked in bars since 2015 I have heard a LOT of Lonerism and Currents, over and over and over, to the point it sometimes hits me entirely as background/mall music now. But I really, really, really love that song. I read when he was workshopping it certain takes would just go on and on for 15, 20 minutes and I honestly wouldn't have minded. It's a fantastic album opener (my favorite since LCD's "oh baby") but I'd have taken an endless loop ala the end of Liars' debut album.

I love that song. I didn't go through anything similar, but the emotions on the song are very resonant.

I still have no idea why he left "Patience" off the album.

Also, I prefer this remix of "Is It True" to the original https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kS2yy9VQNYY
