they walk a fine line between retro soul and camp. I love when they nail the retro soul. I am a little less excited when these guys are on the camp side of the line. These songs were slightly on the camp side.

they go so deep into the disco-funk that it almost gets silly sometimes, and you just have to be in the mood to rock with em and get silly with it too

entirely disagree with these joints tho. i mean the music videos are def campy, but the songs are anything but IMO.

he just played one more on his most recent podcast and its my favorite of all of them so far - should be out in another week or so

they just genuinely love the era and music and are having fun making the music they love listening to.

And a lot of the music they are emulating or inspired by WAS a bit campy.

that modern acts wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole because it's not that "cool" or is a bit corny.

Definitely feel the love of the music.

that's 6 singles so far, all with the same art direction for the covers, same album vibe

not sure what he's waiting for, or maybe this is just it - like hes just putting out an album 1 song at a time, then he'll do a 'proper release' at the end - maybe that works out better financially? I cant call it.

its a little vexing, but at least the tracks are all heat.
