"Guilty Simpson and Leonard Charles are The Leonard Simpson Duo."

Decided to check on Guilty after spinning OJ Simpson for the first time in a long time, only to find he has an album dropping Friday (Jan. 31st).

The album is called: LSD

Never heard of Leonard Charles but the music is sounding good IMO.

Here's an animated video for "My Inspiration" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4nCRxiKNuA

...but this is the song that got me good enough to make a post about it, called "Guilty" hoping the full length has some more of this.

Have you spun any Simpson lately.....or heard any other Leonard Charles projects? Let me know...

His album Actus Reus with Dixon Hill is probably my most-played album in the last three months...production is great and Guilty is consistently one of my favorite emcees.

this and circles are my favorites of the year so far. i think both will stay in my top 10/20 depending how many great albums we get this year.

as much as i love guiltys voice and delivery i think this album made me realize how basic he is lol. he doesnt really do anything impressive lyrically but it just doesnt matter. his style is so dope and these beats work so great with him. ill probably end up buying the record.

The production doesn’t carry him per se, but it is the production more so than Guilty that keeps me coming back to the project.
Guilty is dope but he’s not doing anything mind blowing over the production which is laid out to take risks and stretch yourself as an emcee.

This album sat in my library for weeks. Glad I streamed it.
