"eponymous albums that are NOT a debut album"

was thinking about the new Micheal Kiwanuka album, and it goes hard, and I'm like, if you are finished with your third album, and you're putting your name on it, you know as an artist they feel like its some truly DEFINING music.

so i have a hunch that any eponymous album that is not an artists debut is probly a killer fucking record. And i know there are a few, but not a ton.

what are they?

because he did in fact have an eponymous debut as well, but his first TWO albums are called 'seal'
im not a seal fan, but curious to know - which is better?

i guess Led Zeppelin would go here too with their first 4 albums

wasn't there a self-titled Slum Village album? I'd long stopped checking for them by that point.

Eponymous is the first greatest hits and the second compilation album by American alternative rock band R.E.M., released in 1988. It was their last authorized release on I.R.S. Records, to whom they had been contracted since 1982, having just signed with Warner Bros. Records.

I never knew they were all self-titled. same with the Weezer post up above. in some way, all an artist's albums being named after the artist kinda makes sense.

First album was Chicago Transit Authority (though they had to change it after release as IL wasn't to keen on the name)
