I like it. Maybe I'm a bit starved for hip hop content. It is entertaining and I enjoy the embrace of the culture. Parts of it are definitely amateurish, but that is a part of the appeal of this type of show I think.
I personally know a bunch of emcees who are better/more polished than about 60% of the rappers on here.

just as much as the contestants. Hearing TI and Big Boi skewer contestants about not understanding their words is laughable. There is no standard for that in 2019.
If there was Future and young thug would get booed of that stage. Ironically Tip and Big Boi have done songs with both.
That aside there is talent on the show. The format of the competition is missing something tho.

With that said, I fools with the show. I'm gad something like this does exist, especially seeing as how there was already a DJ one (Master of the Mix).
The club they held the auditions in when they were in Atlanta? That spot has been shut down for months, and it's right next door to my laundromat.
Haven't watched the new one yet, but I already know I'll be side-eyeing like crazy when they get to the battle episode.

Every other MC forgot their rhyme. Then they the the two best MC's in the who show battle each other. Smoke and Old Man Saxon should have been the last 2.

agreed
I'm thinking it will be D Smoke and Londynn B in the finals. Hopefully D Smoke takes it.
