great way to cut out the resell (Discogs) market, lol. I copped Wap Konn Jol to support. noticed people either get it and want to support or they take offense to the prices

I think charging $211 for an alternate cover version of that same eight track, 23 minute project is even more ridiculous.
I like Mach-Hommy, and would like to support, but not at those prices.
I did cop the CD of the first album he did with Muggs. At $25, it was expensive, but a price that I'd reasonably pay. Hell, I'll even cop the "Kill 'Em All" follow-up for that.
2. "Fan of his music but I will never pay that much for an album " In response to Reply # 0
I’ll just stream whatever is available. I paid $30 for the CD he did with Muggs. That’s about as high as I’ll go. He sells out of his product so I can’t knock the hustle.

I love looking for new rap on bandcamp (even though it means sifting through rivers of garbage) and it's almost automatic: you see a cool vintage NY photo as the cover and you'll find solid/simple sampled beats and nice throwback boom bap bars, and the price will be $20 or so. Honestly feel like I only see it with NY/East Coast releases.
---- I check for: Serengeti, Zeroh, Open Mike Eagle, Jeremiah Jae, Moka Only.

...its a fuckn dope presentation ...i wish legacy artists though of this back in the day ...that said, i'll enjoy the music via streaming because the wax is out of my price range 🤣🤣🤣
10. "But that's only if that run gets bought" In response to Reply # 5
If I press up 20 copies of my album and set the price at $150, and 2 years from now I'm sitting on 19 copies, it's not a collectors item, it's a bad business move.
Doesn't matter if there are only 1,000 copies made, if I can still get one of those copies months/years after, it's not as valuable as something that originally sold for 30 bucks but is not easy to find.

6. "I Don't Know Any Artist I Would Pay That CKind Of Money For A Vinyl" In response to Reply # 0
I'm sorry, I'll show love, but I know those prices aren't for the fans it's for the kats who got money to waste who want to feel & brag they got some expensive merch from an artist they like, and impress their friends with.
I'm still here trying to think of ways of saving up money to get that Price "1999" re-issue on vinyl, I'll be damned if I'm paying over $100 for a mach-hommy vinyl, LOL!

9. "LMAO - 1000 bucks for HBO?" In response to Reply # 0
that's the only one I'd even *think* about paying 150 bucks for...
I'm streaming everything he drops because I love him as an emcee. But I'm not paying more than 150 for my favorite artists unless it's something either super limited, a first pressing like OG Rae Purple Tape, the Canadian version of Supreme Clientele ON VINYL, something like that...
I love his album with Muggs. I know that's on vinyl, maybe I can find that for a decent price even though it's probably a reseller bc probably sold out on soul assassins.
