40 years OLD!!!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrdQElEWiLE

#36 on Billboard in the US. #3 UK single. #1 in Canada.

I heard it when I was 9 on a school bus in Guam. Probably took 2 weeks to hit Guam, but it was HUGE.

First song I heard with two different songs sampled/interpolated.

First time I heard the term "hip hop."

First TV reference I heard in a rap song "Now what you hear is not a test."

First time one MC used another MC's rhymes "Check it out: I'm the C-a-s-an-the-o-v-a, and the rest is f-l-y."

First time I heard "Sure Shot MCs."

First time I heard someone talk about their favorite bread toppings "I don't mean to brag, I don't mean to boast
But we like hot butter on our breakfast toast"

First time I heard Superman dissed in a song.

First rap song with a fashion mention: "All the fellas checked out her white Sasoons."

frist time I heard the struggle of liking a friend, but hating their cooking:
"Have you ever went over a friends house to eat
And the food just ain't no good?
I mean the macaroni's soggy, the peas are mushed
And the chicken tastes like wood"

First rap song I heard with "Kaopectate" in the lyrics.

First hyprocrisy in hip-ho:
"But whatever ya do in your lifetime
Y'never let a MC steal your rhyme!" <-Written by Casonova
