'Rain' is the quintessential ballad (so much so they redid the same formula on Rewrite The Memories), but Johnny took them to church and back on 'Heartbreak'

23. "My Top 10 Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis (Non-Janet Jackson) Favorites" In response to Reply # 0 Sun Sep-01-19 01:13 AM by Dj Joey Joe
When I first saw this post I wanted to avoid it cause I knew that it would be kind of hard to chose just a top five of James & Terry; but after weeks of seeing this post I decided to sit down and come up with a list, but after a few days I couldn't do just a top five, so I decided to do a top ten list of songs written & produced by them that isn't a Janet Jackson song; so here you go...
(1) New Edition "If It Isn't Love" (2) Sounds Of Blackness "Optimistic" (3) Alexander O'Neal feat. Cherrelle "Never Knew Love Like This" (4) S.O.S. Band "No One's Gonna Love You" (5) Human League "Human" (6) Ralph Tresvant "Sensitivity" (7) Mariah Carey "Petals" (8) Cherrelle feat. Alexander O'Neal "Saturday Love" (9) Ralph Tresvant "Money Can't Buy You Love" (10) New Edition "Can't You Stand The Rain"
and a bonus goes to: Luther Vandross & Janet Jackson "Money Can't Buy You Love" (sorry but I had to put this on the list, plus it's not just a Janet song, it's got Ralph Tresvant, Mike Bivins, and Ronnie DeVoe singing on it as well).

Also I know there are UK single & double disc versions of Janet's "Design Of A Decade" compilation that have "Best Things In Life Are Free (CJ Mackintosh Remix)" on it but isn't on any of the US versions, maybe that's the version you have.
