Pretty sad so many folks are proud to release these short projects and still want to charge folks like its a full length album.

Except the choice isn't either 15 min of good music or 30 min of mixed quality music. There are tons of artist who put out great projects that are of reasonable length.

I like to listen to albums, but listening to a sub 20min album is just not enjoyable for me. It's like listen to a single on repeat. I might spin it a time or two, but then I'm done.

what are you being charged for?

and, for the record and posterity, the Dump Gawds started their wave around 2016, a good two years before Kanye tried something similar.

I was very anti-streaming up until like a year and a half ago.

I realized I was only hurting myself. I was missing out on a ton of streaming-only stuff.

I still buy physicals when available for stuff I listen to often, favorite artists, etc.

But these days, not streaming will limit you- and its only going to get worse.

Dope to see Navy Blue get some shine here- very curious what he produced. EP is really dope.

I'm good on the YOD joint though. Can't believe people are okay with this clown. It was fucking jarring when he came on.

May I ask why? Droog is pretty dope to me. The lyrics are on point, he has good beat selection, subject matter is varied etc. Is it just the Nas thing? I guess that would mess with me too, but I really don't hear it anymore.

Its the Nas thing. I get that a lot of people have let it go, including artists I respect.

But...dude legit essentially pretended to be a Nas alias to get a buzz. If it wasn't for that initial tape, he'd be soundcloud status.

I just can't get past that.

Plus I still hear it. Granted, I've only heard guest spots and a track here and there...but I still hear it.

And I just don't think any of it would fly if he was a different skin tone. *shrugs*

So you support an artist who rocks on the regular with a culture vulture? As the keeper of the knowledge of who is and isn't a culture vulture, can you school us? I will start you off with a few artists, and again, if you can inform me (us), I (we) would appreciate it...

Dr. John?
Brother Ali?
Bobby Caldwell?
