He released two EPs in 2018 ("I," "II") which consisted of songs that made the full album, so not sure if singles are being released in the traditional sense.
His material is a really great mix of contemporary and traditional R&B sounds. Cat's a dope vocalist too. Haven't listened to the whole album yet, but the EPs received multiple spins from me.
Really solid songs and production – album/EPs are mostly produced by D'Mile, who wasn't on my radar but apparently has been in the industry for a while.
Didn't seen any noise/traction in The Lesson. If you're an R&B fan, don't sleep on this.
4. "thanks for sharing this" In response to Reply # 0
Had a long roadtrip this week and played through this twice... really enjoyed it overall. Only gripe is I'm ready for the pendulum to swing back in r&b so we can get some more straight hummable melodies out of these really talented and creative artists (instead of the sing-rap verses that can often feel anchorless). Still, a lot of memorable moments here, the production/arrangements are exceptional, and a number of songs have a lot of development (like the opener, forget its name).
Sidenote: I love the Prince nods we've been getting over the last few years - "paint it" might be one of the best of the bunch so far, it's even got a bit of a low-fi/boot feel to it in a weird way.

He's cool. Definitely trying to capture that definitive grown folks R&B sound. the cursing is a bit over the top. But its not a deal breaker for me. Looking forward to hearing more from him.
