"songs that are calm but musically interesting" Mon May-13-19 07:08 PM by dba_BAD
I'm noticing that a lot of what I've been listening to and find most musically interesting is also on the hype side - think hiatus kaiyote, flylo, snarky puppy etc
But then a lot of the more downtempo stuff I encounter isn't very dynamic
any suggestions of where to look where one meets the other?
I'm open to genre, but have jazz and electronic in mind. I know some reggae/dub, classic rock and psychedelic soul/folk may fit here too, and am down for those suggestions too
if it's helpful, think good music to trip to. these thundercat tracks are what got me started:

Those artists are pretty dynamic and pretty chill to me. Also, Stereolab, depending on the album. I guess stereolab's later stuff, past the 3rd or 4th album is pretty chill too.

Bauri - womb (OKP grape put OKP up on this in my legendary GD "Super low view youtube" post - which is still available for all to check out in GD - that guy grape has a few more in there - he seems to specialize in some obscure stuff of all types)
I'll take any opportunity I get to push Silhouette Brown. well, their first album, anyway. I was disappointed with the 2nd, too; I copped 'Casualties of Honey' off itunes and kept it moving.
