I'm sure we could've got a lot of great collab projects like this if labels would've left egos to the side and let the true talent, the artists, do their thing. Remember that Firm album and labels arguing over whose logo would be on it? End result, logos all over that bish.

love seeing more of these one producer/artist EP collabs. much easier to knock out 5-8 songs than a full album worth. feels like Curren$y was one of the first cats to really bring that back in the past decade or so.

Regarding the first line, I didn't hear it at the time I made this post. When this post popped up I was working on something at work so I kind of instinctively FF'd like a minute in to the song just to get a taste for it not intending to listen in full til later.

Because some will think it’s a new post and there’s a new Face album coming, lol.
But I just finally bought the Deeply Rooted Lost Files. Honestly forgot about it/forgot it ever dropped. I still play Deeply Rooted regularly and rate it as a top 5 best rap album of the decade. Maybe even higher.
Some of these are better than songs on the album! Obviously Black Still is something else. I remember seeing the video for that. The Rebound is a banger!! Really like One Day Closer too.
And I like these versions of Hot Seat and Keep It Movin better. Better beats/hooks IMO. And Keep It Movin was one of my favorites on the album, but this beat with those vocals in the background?? Takes it up a notch.
