Kamal was MIA for a few months if I remember correctly.
There have been some clues that Stro Elliot may be joining the band in some capacity beyond the past few festival performances, I have wondered if he is the replacement or not...

He has been very active on social media lately and replies to most of his comments. Seems to be doing okay. However, he won’t mention or acknowledge ANYTHING related to The Roots or the Tonight Show…
I hope there wasn’t a falling out. I enjoyed his stage presence and thought he brought a lot of energy to The Roots' shows. But sadly it is beginning to look as if he is no longer with the band or is at least trying to distance himself from them.
If it's personal then I'll respect that. But it's still pretty newsworthy when someone leaves the band after 15 years...

but maybe he had some family issue he was dealing with, and it took him too long to come back? and eventually, they were like "alright dude, time to come back to work." idk. I'd say you are right that there's something else to it.

But we don't know the full story.
Also Frank is replying to a tweet from june 23 but his screenshot says '12h ago' ... I wonder why the screenshot and his tweet (yesterday) are so far apart

I'm glad I added my "Gotta hear both sides" (c) tokpr disclaimer above lol. I know Frank and you have a deep history so I trust there's more to it. Thanks for shedding a lil light.

How many ex-members of The Roots is it now ten kats and counting, I'm surprised James G. aka Kamal is still around with the other James getting more shine than him these days.
It almost seem like how the whole Bad Boy producer camp is always changing and letting people go, and usually after they have done made a hit for diddy.

who alleges Malik B. received a measly $200 per week up to his death and accuses you of cutting off Hub's health insurance when he was battling cancer...

I don't care what Quest says, I believe they did Hub dirty and probably did Knuckles dirty too. and then there's Jaguar Wright and Flo Brown....hell, even the Jazzies got buried.
