"Poll question: Who has the worst album between Nas, Jay and Em?"

I think that is all the choices needed.

Nastradamus I think everyone agrees is Nas worst album

Jay I'm not as sure but believe KC and MCHG get the worst besides the best of both worlds shit which I'm just talking major solo albums

Eminem has to be between Encore and Recovery also imo

Anyway, vote for your least favorite and just want to see which one people would rather never ever hear again the most.

Poll result (17 votes)
Nastradamus (1 votes)Vote
Encore (7 votes)Vote
Kingdom Come (0 votes)Vote
Magna Carta Holy Grail (1 votes)Vote
Recovery (8 votes)Vote

Encore is Em at his most pill-heavy, phoned-in while Recovery is Em's most commercial, sober... I think if I had to throw one on repeat I would pick Encore though

And thank you for not including Relapse cuz that shit was dope

Recovery was just insufferable preaching and pandering. Encore at least has some of that vintage Em humor.

>And thank you for not including Relapse cuz that shit was

Yep. Kind of the same story as above in terms of at least having some of those old school laugh out loud moments lyrically. I have the same gripes with Relapse that many folks have but that album also has some of Em's best moments on the mic. He put on a lyrical clinic, accents be damned. And I say forever I prefer accent Em to SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS EM.

Recovery might have the best production Em has ever had. Unfortunately, lyrically he is his most dumb downed ever and the pop star appearances don't help.

Encore he probably is rapping better but a large part of it is so juvenile I can't deal. The fart noises, burping, puking, etc is not something I want on a rap album. My pee-pee go da-doing-doing-doing.. ugh yeah, I can't handle that shit at all despite maybe 4 or 5 songs better than anything on Recovery.

Relapse gets a lot of flack but he rapped his ass off and I like the Dre production. The accent doesn't really bother me altho I'd prob prefer it if he used his old Slim Shady voice. Its way better than the other 2 albums tho imo

Outside of a few songs it was just too ... hip-pop and rap/rock for my tastes.

Yea I agree with all this. Encore had like 3 or 4 essential Eminem songs then the rest is just mega meh.

Yep yep. Agree here too. Relapse gets a bad rap but outside MMLP it's likely his most focused effort in terms of concept and content. And production too; Dre's soundscape is perfect for what Em was trying to accomplish, as dark, brash and abrasive as a lot of the beats may be.

I will take Life We Chose, Some Of Us Have Angels, Project Windows, Come Get Me, Last Words, Family, and God Love Us over weird ass accent voices and bland ass soulless beats any day.

I FULLY understand the hate for Nastradamus and I myself don't really go back to it ever due to the cliche 99 production but even with that said, Nas on at least those 7 songs is still great.

Em is not one of my favorite rappers so I don't hold him to the high standards I hold Nas to as my favorite rapper. Em doesn't have a great album in his catalog. He's purely entertainment. I get nothing from his music because I don't relate to him.

Regardless of your standards that doesn't change the actual quality of the music.

Listening to music like that seems a bit dishonest.

Basically you're saying;

I think an Eminem album that rates a 2 out of 10 is better than a Nas album that rates a 5 out of 10 simply because of your expectations.

Both are still failing grades but it doesn't make sense to claim the 2 is actually better than the 5.

Now if you want to say you listen to the 2 more because you just find it entertaining because you go in looking for bad entertainment, that's fine. But the shit doesn't add up to say it's actually better.

You can't be disappointed by someone you don't hold in high regard. Relapse was typical Em. Just not as good as his first 3 albums which weren't great to begin with. Nastradamus is a 2 out of 10, 3 at best. Maybe 3 songs I like on there. Terrible album.

I'm not talking about disappointment.

I'm talking about the actual quality of the music.

So there's 3 good songs on Nastradamus.

There are 0 good songs on those Em albums.

Lol

By itself.

I will say I enjoyed Relapse more than Recovery, but that's not saying much.

Honestly think he hit his peak with the Marshal Mathers LP and that's it. And he must be surrounded by a bunch of yes men if he thought his own beats were hot enough to put on full albums. A lot of them shits was pure trash.

But yeah, I'll listen to Project Windows on repeat before I revisit those other two by Em.

Like I said above...far from his best but shit, those songs are legit and he's spitting. That's half the album I listen to and it's his worst.

created by anyone of notable stature. Just really, really awful music.

Encore may as well be called "White Privilege: Suck My Fat White Dick, Hip Hop!".

It's a steaming pile of shit for which nobody of his caliber as an MC would even have been allowed to drop if he were black.

Outside of Relapse (again, I like that album more than most) all of the shit is just so far beneath someone of his talent level, like you said. I listen back to SSLP and MMLP stuff, as well as some Em Show stuff and it's like I'm listening to a totally different artist. He made songs with rhythm and rapped on beat, etc. Just so much more pleasant to the ears than the screaming bullshit he does now.
