I'm promoting Junie and Billy today - how interesting


Hmmm....as much as I want the older players to do it, I couldn't get around to promoting Billy's last project "Memoirs of a player" because the production and Billy's voice just wasn't up to it (guess I'm sort of promoting it now with these links):

but the Beck/Ward project seems up to par with the production and the vocals. Billy's vocals are a touchy issue because he started emphasizing his falsetto with the Ohio Players and then with Shadow and I would have preferred he didn't do that because his lower voice on songs like "runnin' from the devil" on the "fire" album seemed better than that falsetto he kept doing (listening to the "not your man" youtube clips - it seems not too bad for a project I just wrote wasn't too great, hmmm.)
