"Walking with a Panther chopped down tracklist/LA Posse appreciation "
LL would never have had the career he has w/o LA Posse conversely LA Posse would probably never even be known without working with a young talent without LL
but back to topic, as young lionish as L was WITHOUT the HELP of the modern beats that LA Posse provided he couldn't have surfed the new wave into superstardom
B&d was dope BUT Walking with a Panther had nuff bangers but the problem was it had too darn many out take songs
3 girl songs too many freestyle no point joints
if you woulda trimmed that joint by a 3rd it would be LL best lp by far
"Droppin' Em" "You're My Heart" "I'm That Type of Guy" "Going Back to Cali" "It Gets No Rougher" "Big Ole Butt" "1-900 LL Cool J" "Jingling Baby" "Def Jam in the Motherland"
"1-900 LL Cool J" is swag on steroids

It's like he wanted to take the love rap song further but went too far into r&b territory. Personally I hated Big Ol' Butt too but felt it was comedic when when he previewed the album for Marley Marl the week before it dropped and this was one of the songs that played.
