"Twinz - Conversation (my West Coast heads...get in here!)"

Aight...so I never hear this album talked about.

The Chronic...Doggystyle...G Funk Era...Dogg Food...these are all noted and considered classics from the G Funk era.

How was this album viewed?

I absolutely loved this shit when it dropped and just recently gave it a spin. And I can't decide if I'm crazy or if this shit is just horribly overlooked.

This was my shit!! I remember the single "Round and Round" got plenty of spins out here in the West Coast. I don't really remember them having any other songs on the radio but I think they had 1 or 2 other singles. I was pretty young at the time.

..while we're on the subject of Warren G's crew.

But re: the Twinz/the subject at hand, I'd have to go back and listen to it again like you did. Literally haven't heard it since the 90s. I remember liking it but obviously it didn't resonate with me too too much.

Just checked their Wiki and saw that Snoop assisted them with releasing an EP in 2009 ?! Snoop's charity work is through the roof over the years. Haha.

this is the shack and ghetto life were also good songs. I used to want to hang out at the actual dove shack, it sounded really cool lol.

than the version on warren g's album. it has the intro of course but that little breakdown at the end goes on a little longer, which is dope. I also like the album (no rap) version of Summertime in the LBC.

easily better than the dove shack album which had a few gems but wasn't that great overall. I can play the twinz album all the way through.

Like I said I remember liking the Dove Shack album better than the Twinz' but I haven't heard either in years and I feel like my young brains just liked Dove Shack's album better on the strength of Summertime in the LBC and This is the Shack.

"Good Times" defines G-Funk to me.

Foesum also had an album with cuts like that.

It got some love, but was definitely overshadowed since 95 was one of the West Coast's best years ever...Top 5, maybe even Top 2-3 after 1993.

I like this one the best. It's an almost-classic to me. Maybe just needed one big, defining hit to be remembered as much as something like "Regulate."

great windows down album, and very repeatable due to its brevity
