"Ya think Wu-tang is the most sampled Hip-Hop group / artist(s)?"
Tue Dec-01-15 02:45 PM by maro

What HH group or artists do you think has been sampled the most.

Nas? Mobb Deep? Krs?

I kinda feel like I have had more moments of "oh, that's a meth line they are looping, or a deck line they are loopin", etc

werd.

Throw in "The Show" and "Children's Stroy" as well.

Probably next would be Kane or Biz Markie. Lots from "Just Rhymin' With the Biz."

Ha, thanks for link. I believe this is for most vocal sample, not quotes, or lined based. Still interesting to see.

I still feel like I hear more Wu than anything for vocal loops

...and before someone says "just rhymin w/biz" was a Kane song, yes but Cold Chillin also released it multiple times as Biz Markie feat Big Daddy Kane.

..I can barely think of 5 Biggie samples

5 to 10 years, as all I hear now are Nas vocal snippets.. Is it that the newer generation of beatmakers have moved on from Slick Rick etc..

I also thought KRS would be up there, but maybe I can just recall the songs on which he's sampled..

I would have been certain that Mobb deep was the most sampled

Shook ones alone every line from that song has been sampled by someone.

You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Did you do any research to verify that statement?
