He and a closer friend were (are?) a fairly popular production duo in Houston; did a lot of work for Z-Ro, worked with other local cats like Paul Wall and Kirko. Glad to see DJ out here making more music people care about.

heard their new album while browsing a local record store, and WHOO! it's like dreampop-dub-funk-surf music... never knew I needed this in my life. chalk them up as the third group (behind Hiatus Kaiyote and SAULT) that OKP tried to put me up on early, but required a more organic discovery for me to pay attention.
unfortunately, based on what I'm reading on Discogs, all the (many) vinyl pressings of 'Mordechai' are a hit-or-miss affair in terms of quality. ugh.
