Milt Jackson - I enjoy the MJQ stuff a lot, but also his appearances elsewhere, and solo.

Cal Tjader - Nice hearing vibes in a more Latin context, and I figure he may channel too readily into a "cool" context for some, but I also genuinely enjoy some of those very arranged albums in the 60s, like the Several Shades of Jade with Lalo Schifrin - almost like exotica, but quality. He seems like a good player by my ears as well, though- sometimes I feel like vibes can fall back into "atmosphere", and even with arranged albums that are designed as atmospheric, Tjader can sound dominant.
