Russell Crowe
Erykah Badu's "Kiss Me On My Neck (Hesi)"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aozycLq5kw8
REASON: He stars in "The Water Diviner", thus:
"If you want to feel me
Better be divine
Bring me water, water for my mind
Give me nothin'
Breathe love in my air
Don't abuse me
Cause these herbs are rare"

Gov Chris Christie
Earth, Wind & Fire's "Devotion"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsBwLnOfMcU
REASON: Metaphorically, he is devoted in wanting to win to become the president. It also has to do with a statement he made about wanting to make certain laws illegal again, because he feels those things that need to not be legal are addictive for people, thus if you are addicted, it is having a devotion to it.

I'm dreading the next 2 years of having disgusting (and maybe not as disgusting) politicians on that use Jimmy to appear more human and that Jimmy uses to try to gather buzz.

So instead of trying to pick songs that flatter one candidate and slam the other I think maybe a general walk-on song that could be played for any/all politicians running for office would be nice.

Like the stand-up comedian sandwich/bumper you use - unless there's a very compelling song that deals with a current event.

Or a completely innocuous song like:
The Politics Of Dancing - Re-Flex: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eabefjsJsAQ

When I suggest something like Fela's "Coffin for Head of State" I really don't think you should play it.

Why? His new film is about Gallipoli - and that's what this song is about. (Could always go with Jean Michel Jarre's Oxygene, which is what was in the Mel Gibson Gallipoli film.)

Kool Moe Dee - Death Blow
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bEFJYyu1MM

Why? From the aforementioned article about how he doesn't "know" if Obama loves or hates America: "At the event, Christie also echoed many of the same points he'd made earlier in the day at a Republican Leadership Summit in Nashua, saying President Obama cares more about the "two L's"—his library and his legacy—than about anything else." Library and Legacy is what Obama's worried about.

Clearly he means Bush the Lesser. And the fucking bio of him on the guest website is sickening.

Low life loser, life like luna, Lafidasical, lispless lunaTic, live lifeless, living likeness, Lusting longing lyrics like this, Little league, lard larsonist liar, Label ledger, left the leper liar, Bull, lull, lateral learning, Lasp language latent lurking, Language, language, local logo, Light laboring, limited local.
---
His approval ratings in New Jersey (you know, where he works) are at a time low:
Low- Flo Rida: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETGv2gPgLys
Police - Low Life: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-vRhQSBEyE
Boz Scaggs - Lowdown: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-hKBmTAADo
Cracker - Low: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYdlqjiQPAc
Run-D.M.C. - Slow And Low : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwenqnZnX2g
Coldplay - Low: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xT6iCiul3D4
Rita Coolidge - All Time High (LOW): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFurkDf6WXg

Maybe I should start a sub-reddit and leave it at that.

Chris Evans

Del tha Funkee Homosapien "Made in America"
https://youtu.be/o2DL6l9EvQk

Why: He's playing Captain America in the new Avengers flick.

Monty Python

Monty Python "Musical Mice"
https://youtu.be/_OXfAPPckQU

Why: Would be funny if you play a stompy type of arrangement of the end of this sketch, half of the vocalists in the band humming the melody and the other half screeching like the mice do.

Suggestion:
Foo Fighters - My Hero
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqWRaAF6_WY

Why:
- He plays hero Captain America in 'The Avengers: Age of Ultron'
- To put a serious twist on the song's parodying feature in one of his 'Not Another Teen Movie' scenes
- 2015 marks the song's 20th anniversary -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMsbxaPW9lg

Chris Pratt
Toots & The Maytals' "Sweet And Dandy"
https://youtu.be/58vtnJjKxDw?t=2m27s
REASON: While he will have a number of good, great, and perhaps not-so-great role to play, he will forever be Andy from PARKS AND RECREATION, so do the "sweet and dandy" thing from teh song and refer to the Andy character, maybe just:
"he was a good ol' Andy
good ol' Andy
good ol' Andy
good ol' Andy"

Elizabeth Olsen
Larry Williams' "Dizzy Miss Lizzy"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgSWCmZa2_Q
REASON: Elizabeth is also known as Lizzie to close family and friends, and while most will know her as being an Olsen relative, it's a way to set her apart from the comparisons. Thus, the song is to suggest that she is the one who makes people dizzy, not the twins.

Chris Pratt:
Mouse Rat - The Park, from the "Emergency Response" episode of 'Parks and Recreation'
(No Free Clip Found)

Why:
- It's a play on Mouse Rat's "The Pit" about a park opening, which his film 'Jurassic World' is about.

Elizabeth Olsen:
Chris de Burgh - Lady In Red
https://vimeo.com/58265759

Why:
- Her 'The Avengers: Age of Ultron' character wears red.

47. "Let's go for Chicago"
In response to Reply # 39

If possible, my suggestions:
Chicago Transit Authority's "Poem 58" (from the 4:48 mark)
https://youtu.be/up3eXOV3JqY?t=4m48s

or from the 5:22 mark, as I love the arrangement between the bassline, the horn section, and the electric piano
https://youtu.be/up3eXOV3JqY?t=5m22s
=======
"P.M. Mourning"
https://youtu.be/kjiT7PtVBlM?t=1m17s (from the 1:17 mark)
This is part of a bigger collage of songs: "Prelude/A.M. Mourning/P.M. Mourning/Memories Of Love" but the "P.M. Mourning" song, specifically from the 1:17 mark, was one of the first things I ever sampled because I always felt the horn and string arrangements were funky. While CHICAGO II had songs like "25 Or 6 To 4", "Make Me Smile" and "Colour My World", I ate up that album big time and I played Sides 3 and 4 like crazy so that "Memories Of Love" suite was something I fell in love with.
=======
"A Hit By Varese"
https://youtu.be/QUesYP35z7I?t=12s
I became a fan of this song partly because I knew Frank Zappa was a huge fan of Edgard Varese, so the idea of Chicago doing a Varese song was interesting to me. The song is in 3/4 time but I've sampled it to where it becomes 4/4. Nonetheless, horn section is brilliant and Peter Cetera's bassline is great. This is taken from CHICAGO VIII.
========
"Oh Thank You Great Spirit"
https://youtu.be/1f6jBW6mF_8?t=5m32s
Arguably, from Chicago's last great album (CHICAGO VIII), the song starts off very mellow before it gets into this furious jazz fusion vibe, ala Weather Report/Return To Forever. This is where Terry Kath absolutely goes nuts on the guitar so for Kirk to do something brief along with the band would be great. I absolutely love this song.
========
"Aloha Mama"
https://youtu.be/yy5b68737cs?t=1m47s
From CHICAGO 13, I figure if I'm going to add some kind of trademark, I'll add some "Aloha" to it. Drummer Danny Seraphine's beat during this is what Bernard Purdie did in Steely Dan's "Home At Last", thus a recreation of the Purdie Shuffle from you. I always liked what the horn section does during this song, especially during the third chorus so... go from there. Extra bonus points if you can get "P.C. Moblee" to sing in "Aloha Mama".
