"you think kanye attempted to utilize zach hill (death grips) on yeezus?"
Wed Mar-04-15 10:29 PM by Voletta Wallace

...similar to t-pain on the auto-tune album in 2008.

you think zach hill told him to go fuck himself and he just (laughably) tried to steal their sound with celebrity-friends daft punk?

has zach hill ever been asked if he was approached by kanye for yeezus?

although i'm not sure yeezus would have been better with death grips directly contributing, being that yeezus is more effective than any music death grips put out before, during and after. death grips are mostly revered for non-music reasons, IMO

of course that's just my opinion

People always acted like it was unlistenable mush, and while they had their glitchy noise moments, more often then not I thought it was relatively straight forward and even had some alright hooks.

is pretty genius. like NIN, DG realize that you can still have some really catchy hooks/riffs/choruses within all the abrasive sounds.

kinda like how 36 chambers had all these catchy moments within all the sonic mud. "method man" has a hook on every bar practically!

that riff on "birds"--kinda reminded me of ELO's "laredo tornado" but sounded nothing like it.

the chorus on "stockton"--only understood two words on it ("bouncing" and "jet blue" which probably really wasn't "jet blue") but i couldn't stop chanting what i thought it was.

that "rumble" guitar sample on "spread eagle cross the block"--it helps that it was a familiar sample, but steph's raps made me think of it differently.

the fact he had to clarify that is pretty obvious what was happening.

did anybody ever mention t-pain being tapped for "808's..." before t-pain started saying it himself 6 years after the fact?

Like New Slaves is something Saul would have definately done.

However the sounds he was working with on yeezus sounded generally 'dirtier' and then what Saul deals with. As meticulously produced as it was there was some intentional clipping, etc.
