The beats are dope throughout..

I always wondered whatever happened to that kid Kolanji (spl.)...he was nice!

overall dope ass album...

Used to bump the HELL outta this joint in my college years.

Crazy slept on.

We see through all that boo boo like it's ghost shit... (c) Quelle Chris

You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Better when he was doing straight up lyrical shit. The section where he tried to do "club hits" was instantly forgettable. I also remember thinking there were a few too many interpolated hooks, instead of just sampling/scratching, but I could be mis-remembering. A lot of it still stands up though.

Im not from Virginia and I moved here right after this album was out...

I remember being kinda geeked about skillz but for some reason people in Richmond were on some serious hate for dude.

He didnt get the love you would expect for a hometown hero..

So eventually he stopped waiving the Va Flag ...

I dont blame him the way people acted

In response to Reply # 21

you have to blow up first and be accepted before people know who you are
D doesn't really say too much about Richmond because here he was just the local guy that won all the talent showcases or whatever
Missy and Timbaland was able to escape that because nobody here knew they were from VA at first

it's okay if you're local, but now if you blow up you'd better be prepared for an epic backlash
people don't like you doing better than them, and if you don't take them with you then you'd better look out
the fact that you don't know these people isn't something that stops them from talking shit
hearing these niggas talk about one another is really depressing at times, from a music fan standpoint
