I'd heard of YC before but never heard HIM. Dude was ridiculous. Had the crowd really with him too. If you can do that with most of them not knowing you, as an MC? That's ill.

Bought his album that night and it's very, very dope.

>instantly like that. I can't believe I never heard of this
>dude.

Right? I think I first heard him on the front page here when they were featuring his video for "Your Backpack Past"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlT4nJOlmV4.

Dope as it was, it also interpolated one of my favorite Ben Folds Five joints, which made him even more dope.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pffHAweiDl8

Next I heard him as a guest on Marc Maron's WTF podcast. The way he got on the show was hilarious--Marc learned Mike dropped his name in "Werner Herzog", where he referred to himself as "The Marc Maron of dark skinned art barons" and invited him on.

Anyway, after hearing the podcast I scooped up almost all his albums. Dude is consistently original, creative & straight up dope. My favorite cat doin it right now.

>Thanks again man. Now I gotta go check all his music and put
>other people up on it like I'm the one that discovered him.

Ha! Enjoy.
