not only is Blowout Comb the better DP album, that should be any best hip-hop albums list.

Both of Digable Planets' albums sound like no other hip hop cd that I've ever heard, but "Blowout Comb" is my personal favorite. I barely listen to the first cd, but the 2nd one I listen to all the time. It was a much grittier record. Their rhymes and flows were more complex and on a higher level on the second album. Just listen to Ladybug Mecca's rhymes on both albums. Her growth and maturity as a lyricist really shows. She was dope on the 1st album, but on the 2nd, her rhymes were crazy putting her in the league as one of the best female emcees. I hate that they disbanded after Blowout Comb didn't match the success of the first. At least they won a Grammy. I wonder what a 3rd DP album would have sounded like.

Best Track on Blowout Comb
"Jettin"
Track #4
