i'm not even talking about the "bad boy get more money..." part where mase's track is reduced to a mere whisper. i mean puffy doing his pete rock impression "that's right...", "come on" nd shit are audibly mixed several levels louder than mase's verse.
can you imagine the narcissism of insisting your AD-LIB track be mixed louder than your new act's debut verse?

compare the volume of his track on the rest of the song. "thought i told yall that we wont stop" + his parts during biggie's verse.

if you gave me a beat that had everything on hit EXCEPT the hi-hat and i replaced the hi-hat to something more suitable i would want some sort of compensation for essentially saving your beat from your own poor taste.
