You know lyrically than aren't up to snuff, but you love them anyway.
My all time favorite is Greg Nice. Imagine if anyone else rhymed the following non-sequiturs:

i cringe every time a big shug verses comes on. like, i thought malachi in '95 was rapping better than i've ever heard shug. dude seems like a real-type fellow and all...just can't do what he does, which is rap.
He's so funny to me. He pulls off so many lines that if any rapper would say, they'd be so cringe-worthy. He's still an awful rapper, but he's just charismatic enough to make being an awful rapper look cool.

madness. He's not lyrical but he's always utilized a lot of melody, rhythm and harmony in his raps. He understands music a little better than the average rapper. I guess I'm more inclined to call a rapper terrible if he just seems to be writing random shit with no idea as to how it all comes together.
