" Outros that murder the acutal song the Lift off post"
I was listening to JT's Mirrors and I hate that song so much I forgot how ill Love of my life is cause I barley make it that far but that shit is killer.
This post stems from Lift off watch the throne where I hate the song but that ended part was ill as fuck made even better by J cole "the cure" just taking that part.
What are some other examples of a song being garbage or just boring and then switching up at the end to some ill shit

The "Aquarius"-part is total ass, like terrible whereas the "Let the sunshine in"-refrain is larger than life if admittedly pretty corny and pompous. Anyway, even with the second part, it's not exactly a great piece of music but it's the first song that comes to mind to me.

...that if the "Let the sunshine in"-refrain had been added as an ending to an already amazing song, it would have been the illest shit ever, like you have this great song and then it's pushed to the nth level. Unfortunately, the song is just too well-known/cliched and tied to its era to be utilized in another context...

That's the funny thing about Toto; they were making those totally milquetoast singles but they just couldn't contain their musicianship; it comes across in the solos, bridges, codas, chord-voicings etc. in otherwise totally 80's MTV pop-songs. I don't know how I feel about that-I *used* to hate them with every fiber of my being (seriously, I used to view them as the absolute enemy of "real" rock) but damn if I haven't warmed up to at least SOME of their shit over the years as much as it hurts to admit it...

I mean, listen to those first four albums, or all the work they did with Boz Scaggs. The single version of "Rosanna" fades out at the right moment, but the best moment is Steve Lukather's guitar solo. They knew how to be a great backing band, but they also stood out on their own.
