general definition: a group of loosely affiliated MCs - not a group who regularly release albums together AS a group (think: WuTang Clan) but who occasionally appear in videos or drop a verse/line here and there
for example (of posses who weren't groups)
native tongues - Buddy or Scenario juice crew - Symphony flava unit MCs - Rollin with the Flava Dungeon Family - Watch for the Hook
to make it even MORE complicated you had/have the category for stuff like LLs "4,3,2,1", the Luniz "I Got 5 on It" Remix - or similar "regional folks get together" type deals - where you have a bunch of featured artists. these are more "all star team" but still fit. Songs like "all in the same gang" and "self destruction" would also fit here
finally, in the 90s the concept was mutated by the proliferation of labelmates who always would show up making releases de-facto group cuts/albums
e.g.
no limit ("no limit soldiers" or "make em say ugh") death row (stranded on death row) cash money (Bling Bling) bad boy (all about the benjamins)
ultimately I think this last group muddied it up so much that the concept of a "posse cut" has changed (watered down) to the point it doesn't mean much and isn't NEARLY as special when it occurs nowadays

Never quite sits right with me when people list tracks with three people as posse cuts.
The "group" thing falls sort of in a grey area. I agree on no Wu-Tang, but would that exclude Scanario? Or Buddy? Or Headbanger? Or Nitty Gritty? Or Diggin in the Crates? Or Even Rol With the Flava?
Som just for arguments sake, I'll list some with four MCs or more with no immediate crew affiliation:
Live at the BBQ Back to the Grill 5 Deadly Venomz Self Destruction Color Blind Don't Curse Flava in Ya Ear remix I Got 5 On It remix Battle For Asgard Down the Line KGB Rip Mics in Half
Okay, here some with crew affiliation, but more than four MCs (besides the ones that I mentioned in the intro)
Symphony Flava Unit Assassination Squad What Cha Gonna Do.? Headbanger Bring It On Ain't No Fun Sund of the Zeekers Spontaneous Fubkintoyourear You Don't Work, U Can' Eat

Those Wu tracks are posse tracks to me. Triumph is a posse track. Protect Ya Neck is a posse track. The song length should be close to five minutes or more. Those three-minute Slaughterhouse tracks are not posse tracks and they're wack anyway.
