"You ever hear some great music in an unexpected situation?"

Like it was the last place you were expecting to hear something dope and it kinda took you by surprise?

This question was inspired by something that just happened to me:

As I sat down at the kitchen table to eat lunch, I put the radio on and tuned in to 'Talksport' - a London-based radio station that does exclusively what the name suggests and nothing more. As usual there was the expected mix of ex-sportsmen debating the upcoming Premiership football fixtures, adverts for D.I.Y. shops and phone calls from listeners about their team's progress etc...and then, as the host moved on to the next segment of the show, the usual incidental background music kicked in and to my surprise they were using Dilla's beat for Tip's 'Let's Ride'!

It brightened up my day to think of someone using their position at a sports radio station to subliminally spread the word!

the host will throw in a random hip hop reference, usually about Guru and Gangstarr or Biggie.

I was think man, a little calypso doesn't sound too bad.

Then the lyrics came on and I immediately realized it was an update of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sU1zjJ72pEM, which I should have picked up earlier.

Either way, pretty fun for me.
