thoughts?
should he have stayed gone?
or does he have a future in today's market?

personally i think he's chasing today's sound too much. it's a good practice run though.

Why shouldn't he see how he fares in the current market? He had some joints in his day and a gold plaque, that's saying something.

That early 2000 new york sound is dead, instead of making a newer one they all seem lost. I don't have a problem with this mixtape (except the Chicago rapper features, the fuck?) it's clever and disposable music. It'll work for the next couple weeks.

New york rappers are just lost as fuck tho. Sad.

"They used to call me Baby Luke....but now? The whole damn 2 Liiiive Crew."

are going back to the styles that their hardcore fans liked best. So I don't really see the basis for the "NY rappers are lost" thing, maybe you have an axe to grind though.

He claimed Cam was holding up any new real records since he was signed to his label.

Cam claimed he was basically a drug addict getting sizzurped with Wayne.

I can't see a good reason why he couldn't record 10-15 verses for "I Can't Feel My Face". Even if Cam had him tied up contractually, putting that project out might have given him enough buzz to get bought out of his deal. Unless Cam had him 360'd up early, he'd still be able to cake off of show money.

Everyone else who ran into label trouble kept those mixtapes a coming.
Dude probably made enough money just to slide and hang out a la a 8th year senior in college.
