"David Foster Appreciation Thread"

We know of all the classics he did, but I just found out about this song here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1AF7d9bVkg - And said damn...I wonder how many other songs he's done that I haven't heard. This one sounds like straight EWF with the chord changes.

I didn't even know he did "For you I will" and some of those more recent songs as well.

Deniece Williams - "Why Can't We Fall In Love"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uc6X1sAA_aQ
(also very "EWF" sounding)

Hall & Oates - "August Day"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cL-Xd7Uhfg0

Hall & Oates - "Running From Paradise"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5vapDPot1w

w/Hall & Oates, he is one of the few that did not get in the way of their songwriting/sound as producers. You can barely tell he was involved, LOL.

The early 80s schalmzy movies' opening credits type.

He did Chaka Khan's "Through The Fire", a song I never ever ever ever ever ever EVA would've paid the time of the day to had she not been singing it. It drips with cheese.

I think I was good with that one all the way. You're right, Chaka Khan singing it saved it. To Dave's credit, his production didn't disrupt that of the rest of the album (which is a sentimental favorite; "Stronger Than Before" I've heard 2 other ways, and that production + Chaka's voice draws me to hers every time).

some joints from Bill Champlin before he joined Chicago (it was him who brought Foster to that band, BTW)

"Satisfaction"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3XenhqyHKA

"Gotta Get Back To Love"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CegQsZvJGFk

since we on Bill, Dave also produced his album from '78, and we got this:

"Keys to the Kingdom"

it's mostly known for the "white" version of "After The Love Is Gone" that is on there

but there are joints that is right up his composition alley called "Nothing You Can Do About It" and "She Waits For Me" that were favorites of mine when I first got that CD
